Reminisce about days gone by

Cutie

Yes I've always been cute and heres the proof:

Thats me in 1991 (I think) which would make me 6 at the time of my auntie Annes Wedding. I dont really remember much of the day, only that the boys got the better of the outfits (Violet/blue dresses girls? lol) and skidding about on my knees at the reception afterwards.... oh I was a little hell raiser wasnt I?

Anyway the wedding was in London so of course we went to see the sights:

The Houses of Parliament

St. Pauls Cathedral

ALTHOUGH I cant for the life of me think if these were taken during the same trip, London never seamed to change much back then. Anyway thats enough reminiscing for today

The death of Speckled Jim....

Recently my goldfish 'Speckled Jim' died... indeed a sad sight him sitting upside down on the bottom of the tank (never had a goldfish floating on the surface before think thats a common misconception) and it reminded me of my old dog and first pet 'mini'.

The best friend a lad could ever have, she was a whippet (its a small greyhound) and could run for hours, fetch sticks even sit on command. We got her from the pound when I was about 6 but sadly she had to be put to sleep   and I've not had a dog since.

Bitter Sweet Memories..... fficeffice" />

i was 16 and it was my first day of college......

those were the days,

Tony Blair was in power and New labour had filled with hope in politics again and what better way to start than Education, Education, Education...

well i arrived on time to a scene of utter panic on the 1st floor 100's of kids with no rhyme or reason. After being counted and lined up in set groups and moving to the line I wanted to be in we set off to class (we being me and scouser).  After filling out the learning agreement and those tedious forms scouser and i decided it was time for a pub lunch.

Wethersoons was the venue and after a swift half and a minted lamb burger (note:- they stopped serving them and i wonder why, they were the best think on the menu, petition to be started to bring back the beef...) it was off to college again, a tour of the grounds revealed a line across the centre of campus with Chavs on one side and the normal peeps like us on the other.

then a look at the Armstrong building (a nothing back then and now a detatched area for foreign students) quite why we toured this is beyond me.

After that it was off home and a game on the PC, Counter Strike if i recall correctly....

Memories viewed through my Rose Tinted glasses, good days 8/10
